Health report infobox

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry report on health risks in the Great Lakes region referred to 11 “areas of interest” in Michigan.  They are:

River Raisin – Monroe County

Rouge River – Wayne and Oakland counties

Clinton River – Oakland and Macomb counties

Saginaw River and Bay – Arenac, Bay, Clare, Genesee, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Iosco,

                                          Isabella, Lapeer, Livingston, Mecosta, Midland, Montcalm,

                                          Ogemaw, Osceola, Roscommon, Saginaw, Sanilac,

                                          Shiawassee and Tuscola counties

Muskegon Lake – Muskegon County

White Lake – Muskegon County

Kalamazoo River – Allegan and Kalamazoo counties

Menominee River – Menominee County

Manistique River – Schoolcraft County

Deer Lake – Marquette County

Torch Lake – Houghton County
